You need AutoCAD for your work. In all your wisdom you decided to buy AutoCAD Light. You wanted to save money and not buy the full version.
Very good. Now you are working with AutoCAD. Now you are creating AutoCAD drawings. Creating AutoCAD drawings. Exactly what you wanted.
But AutoCAD Light has got a big disadvantage. It doesn't have AutoLISP support. So no AutoLISP program can help you with your work.
Alternative Programs
I have got two alternative programs for you. The first one is free. And the second one cost money. But it has AutoLISP support.
DraftSight
Let's start with the free alternative for AutoCAD. The name of the program is DraftSight. You can download it from this web site:

The program comes from Dassault Systèmes SA, 10 rue Marcel Dassault, 78140, Vélizy-Villacoublay, France. You know. They built planes.
The program is very similar to an AutoCAD program. The buttons on the toolbars may differ a little bit.
But you create AutoCAD drawings in DraftSight. The drawings are saved in the DWG formaat. The same as AutoCAD drawings.
DraftSight has got the same disadvantage as AutoCAD Light has. There is no AutoLISP support. But you do not mind. Right?
IntelliCAD
Here is another alternative for AutoCAD Light. It is IntelliCAD. I have IntelliCAD from 4M. They are from Greece.
There are three IntelliCAD programs that function as an alternative for AutoCAD. These three programs are:
Program AutoCAD program
IntelliCAD Classic AutoCAD Light
IntelliCAD Standard AutoCAD Light
IntelliCAD Pro AutoCAD (full version)
All IntelliCAD programs support AutoLISP. So you can run AutoLISP programs in them. And you can create 3D drawings in IntelliCAD Pro.
In IntelliCAD Classic you can only create 2D drawings. In IntelliCAD Standard there is also room for 3D, but not so good.
That is important. The drawings created in an IntelliCAD program are saved as AutoCAD drawings. They are saved in the DWG format.
OK. IntelliCAD programs cost money. How much? More than AutoCAD? No. The price of an IntelliCAD is far less. Less than 20 percent of AutoCAD.

If you want to get IntelliCAD, you can go to the dealer of your country. Where can you find one? Go to the web site of 4M. Click on Sales Network.

Having AutoCAD Light
If you are having AutoCAD Light and you do not mind that the program doesn't support AutoLISP programs. Pity. You cannot get a refund.
But I would not buy any more AutoCAD Light programs. I would download the DraftSight program of Dassault.
If you are having AutoCAD Light and you find it important to have AutoLISP support. Pity. Your AutoCAD dealer did not tell you.
He or she did not tell you that AutoCAD Light doesn't support AutoLISP. Why should they? His or her business is selling AutoCAD.
The same. Don't buy any more AutoCAD Light programs. Instead buy an IntelliCAD program and save a lot of money.

Warning Don't spend a lot of money on AutoCAD Light. It is only for creating 2D drawings and it doesn't support AutoLISP. There is a very similar CAD program. And that is completely free. Create Drawings When your CAD operators don't create the borders of your drawings, a lot of time is saved. You get your drawings much faster. I have created a program that does exactly that.
