AutoLISP
AutoLISP is the programming language that can be used for creating a program that creates a complete AutoCAD drawing. Or a part of it.
But AutoLISP is not the only programming language that can be used. You can also write programs in C++ and Visual Basic.
Why not write a program for AutoCAD in C++ or Visual Basic? Is that not much better? It sure looks more professional.
Well. C++ and Visual Basic. Is it better than AutoLISP? I don't think so. What can be done in C++ and Visual Basic can also be done in AutoLISP.
When you have C++ and Visual Basic. Why write a program for AutoCAD in AutoLISP? Let me give you a very good reason. Save money.
It is very expensive to write a program for AutoCAD in C++ or Visual Basic. It takes a lot of coding and a lot of time.
Writing a program for AutoCAD in AutoLISP is pretty simple. It can be done very quickly. It doesn't take a lot of time. It is inexpensive.

Warning Don't spend a lot of money on AutoCAD Light. It is only for creating 2D drawings and it doesn't support AutoLISP. There is a very similar CAD program. And that is completely free. The name of the program? DraftSight. How to get it? Do a search on Google for “download DraftSight”. And you will find where you can download the program. |

Create Drawings When your CAD operators don't create the borders of your drawings, a lot of time is saved. You get your drawings much faster. I have created a program that does exactly that.
